Inspiring, Sharing, Creating

Studio 11 specialises in high quality teaching of textiles to develop a creative environment for textile artists on the South Coast.

As a response to Covid 19, I will only open the studio for regular monthly classes when the Govrerment guidelines tells us it is safe to do so. There will be limited bench space to allow for social distancing, and there will be various measures in place to keep all users safe and healthy until we have access to a vaccine.

We have a new home in Bourne Street: a lovely converted chapel which has room for 5 full size print benches in normal circumstances.
I am very excited about the light in this new venue, which is now entirely devoted to textiles.

Courses run monthly (textile print & dye/stitched projects/advanced) with a separate programme of short intensive courses (Re-Treats). This is also used as a base for my new online courses where I shoot the video material.

Like the studio on FaceBook to receive instant notification as soon as courses go live on the website.

  1. Hi
Went to your lovely exhibition at the Birley Centre today. I am interested in your creative development days. I am an experienced textile ‘person’ and am looking to do something a little different from what I have been doing.

    Thanks so much.
I was really inspired by the exhibition.

  2. Thanks June – look forward to meeting you when you move down. If you are here at the end of November, come and visit us at Open Studio – 30 Nov & 1 Dec – 11am – 5pm.

  3. I plan to move to Eastbourne when my husband retires at the end of the year. We have had holidays there recently and have booked a hotel, The Burlington for Christmas. We found the “Owl and the Sewing Cat” last time but I did not know about “Studio 11” until I opened the “Contemporary Quilt” brochure this morning. Now we are definitely moving to Eastbourne! There is no need to reply but it is good to know that art and textile crafts are appreciated .. June Howard, Crosby, Liverpool.
